WHO I WORK WITH

Two groups of people I know well.

I do not try to be the right therapist for everyone. These are the people I have spent most of my working life around.

OLDER ADULTS

Grief, retirement, and the years after the busy part.

Most of the people I see are in their sixties, seventies, and eighties. Someone died. Or the job ended. Or the body changed and took a whole way of living with it. People around you assume the hard part was the funeral. You know the hard part is the eleven months after it.

What we usually end up working on:

I move at a pace that respects a long life. There is no rush to get you to a stage, and no interest in hurrying you past the person you lost. If video calls are new to you, I will walk you through it on the phone first. It is one link and one click.

VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS

You will not have to explain much here.

I did twenty four years in the Air Force and then years at the Philadelphia VA. I know the difference between a deployment and a tour, I know what a bad shift does to a marriage, and I know why you have not brought this up before.

You do not have to prove your service was hard enough. You do not have to translate. And you will not get a therapist who flinches.

If you are in crisis right now, call or text 988 and press 1. Then call me after.

Whatever you have been through, trust me that it gets better. I’m not going to rush you or force progress, but we will go to the root of it and create a plan that’s in alignment with where you are now.

Not sure you are either one of those?

Call anyway. Fifteen minutes tells both of us a lot, and if I am not the right person I will tell you who is.
