For when life has narrowed down to getting through the day and you want it back.
WHAT IT IS
Instead of arguing with painful thoughts, we work on holding them more loosely and getting on with what matters to you anyway. We spend real time naming what you value, then building weeks that reflect it.
WHAT IT FEELS LIKE
Practical. Some of it is talking, some of it is short exercises, some of it is deciding what you are going to do between now and next week.
GOOD FOR
Feeling stuck, avoidance, the sense that life has narrowed down to getting through the day.
WHAT A SESSION LOOKS LIKE
How we would work.
01
We start with what you have stopped doing. Not to shame you, to see the size of the circle you are living in.
02
We name what you actually care about, in your words, not from a list.
03
Each week ends with something small and specific you are willing to do.
04
When it does not happen, we look at what got in the way instead of starting over.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK ME
Is this positive thinking?
No. I am not going to ask you to feel better about something that is genuinely bad. We work on what you do while it still hurts.
Is there homework?
Small things you chose, not worksheets I assigned. If you hate it, we change it.
Can it be combined with EMDR?
Often, yes. Many people do steadying ACT work first and trauma processing later.
Not sure this is the one?
You do not have to choose. Tell me what is going on and I will tell you what I think fits.
